Grade Slate

Sakema helps the Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) producers in the GCC region to create the optimal grade slate that caters for their marketing plans and allows them to efficiently sell their products downstream in the local and the global industry.

Sakema acts as a market watch to monitor and identify the top industry needs and latest trends in terms of polymer types and applications. We then draw key insights and advice the GCC producers to formulate the right grade accordingly while taking into consideration their existing plant capabilities, geographical presence, team expertise, company culture, technology type (license) and TS&D capabilities.

This will enable PP and PE producers to reach a higher sales volume and achieve an improved profitability while targeting a wide array of applications including, but not limited to, plastic cups, storage boxes, textile, films, shampoo bottles, thin wall articles used in food packaging like cheese or candy, highly-resistant articles such as paint buckets, sewage pipes, car bumpers, plastic pallets and crates and many more.

Our scope of work includes reshaping and improving our client portfolio for:

Polypropylene (PP) grades:

  • Homopolymers (HPP)

  • Random Copolymers (RCP)

  • Block Copolymers (BCP)

Polyethylene (PE) grades

  • High-density polyethylene (HDPE)

  • Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)

  • Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

Additives Selection

Different polymer properties require different additivation package. Sakema helps the PP and PE producers select the right additive package for their grades to cater for the market needs and develop a highly competitive product.

Along with our technical knowledge, we provide additive performance and evaluation services for clients willing to develop specific grades with specific properties. We also partner with reputable application labs and institutes to provide accredited services to our customers.
